SKER is a science focused organisation run 100% by volunteers. We pride ourselves on having a positive and safe organisational culture through a stringent recruitment process, regular evaluations, and inclusive team workshops, with over 6,000 volunteer hours logged in FY23

Please Note: As a science based organisation and in order to protect our vulnerable volunteers, it is a requirement for all volunteers to have had at least three vaccinations against Covid-19.

As a volunteer-led organisation, our priority is the well-being of the animals, especially during our busiest rescue period.
